Hanging around SoBe

A lazy day wandering about Miami Beach.

Our first taste of shell collecting at Sanibel Island … then onwards to South Beach, Miami.

A surprise find — a really good Italian restaurant located in a museum!

We visit a circus museum in Sarasota …

We visit the inspring Kennedy Space Centre at Cape Canaveral, joined the tour and tried out the Shuttle Launch Experience.

Tasty food but expensive (and allergy-inducing) drinks at the Hub Baja Grill. Good if you like "lively atmosphere".

A sunny, cosy cafe serving delicious soups and salads.

We swim with Manatees! Then off to Siesta Keys (voted the best beach in the US) via Tarpon Springs for some sponges.

A cafe/store with a large mouthwatering selection of Empanadas, pastries, cakes and other goodies!

We visit the Miracle Mile in Coral Gables, swing by Lake Okeechobee and finally arrive in Crystal River.

We leave chilly London for warmer climes to begin our road trip around Florida, beginning with Miami.

Wow, I’ve really been slacking off! Now I need to go back in time and fill in the gaps …

We attended a memorable Cure gig at The Royal Albert Hall.

Visiting the Angel of the North, and Durham Cathedral, the BALTIC, and then heading home.
