We had an excellent breakfast at our hotel before heading off to meet our friends on the Rialto bridge.

After a couple of hours of walking around, we were hungry enough to eat again, and our noses led us to Ostaria Al Ponte where we had lunch.
Venice was a pretty little city, and the locals love their dogs:

Fat dog on a sunbed

Dogs window shopping

Dogs on a boat

Pigeons
Venice was very walkable, and very pretty. There was much to see and eat — only problem was that our stomachs could only fit so much food …

Yum, desserts!

We finally reached St Mark’s square, and we went up into the Basillica.

For dinner, we went to Antica Trattoria La Furatola, which wasn’t too good, unfortunately.
We found a gelato shop along the way home, and had that for dessert.
