We woke up in the afternoon, waited for the sneezing to stop and afternoon sun to set a little before heading out on our bikes to Kensington around 4pm. It was a nice day out, and there were many slow, wobbly tourists on the Boris bikes. Riding through Hyde Park, we saw lots of people just lazing about, and lots of boats out in the middle of the Serpentine.
We were hungry by the time we arrived at Wholefoods, so we headed upstairs to the “food court”.
Our eyes were immediately drawn to the new Shabu-shabu counters at Genji Sushi, but we were feeling hot so we settled on the sushi bar at Genji Sushi instead.
Once we’d eaten our fill, we headed downstairs to look for the Easter Faberge eggs … but there weren’t any :( We ended up buying some chicken sausages, a couple of aged rib-eye steaks and another jar of salsa.
We slowly rode home, and the sun was still up! I just love extended sunlight.
We weren’t hungry but I had a whole duck sitting in the fridge that needed to be cooked, so I made a Peking duck for a very late dinner.
