We woke up really early, so we decided to check out the restaurant downstairs (Prestons) as soon as it opened …
We had free wifi so I read the NY times on my phone while Muffin read the local paper. Coffee was the usual watery ones with unlimited refills that you find in North America …
Once we were done with our delicious breakfast, we headed out to Stanley Park via Coal Harbour.

Another overcast day. View of our hotel from the shore
The air was fresh and crisp, if itweren’t for the jet fuel fumes from the small planes in the harbour. These small planes took passengers to Victoria.

We finally found the aquarium in the park. It was the first time we’ve seen a beluga! The aquarium was well run — the animal enclosures smelled clean, and the animals looked really healthy. The had other animals besides dolphins and seals, such as turtle, insects and other reptiles.

We were getting hungry because it was lunchtime! As we walked from the park, we saw some black squirrels!

We walked past some beaches and finally settled on having lunch inĀ Legendary Noodle House on Denman Street.
We walked around downtown for a bit before heading back to the hotel to digest, had a quick swim at the hotel pool (and watched people at their desks in the offices overlooking our pool).
Later that evening, we wandered back out for a movie in Scotiabank Theatre on Burrard Street. We walked passed some hotdog stands along the way, and relented when we saw Japa Dog which served hot dogs with a Japanese twist!
