Our noses drew us to this Osteria, when we smelled prawns being grilled. There were lots of people standing and eating at the counter, so we tried to get a table.

The raw salmon was a little strange, as we were used to fresher varieties served with wasabi and soya sauce, so we found this hard to eat …

Sarde in saor (marinated sardine)

My favorite dish in Venice has to be the Sardine in Saor. The sardines were fried in batter, and then served with sour pickled onions. Delish!

We had two other fish dishes:

Baccala Mantecato (Creamed Cod)

More dried cod, I think?

They gave us some mini ice-cream cones at the end of our meal. Yummo!
