Our two nights in San Fran were up and today we’re on the move again. We left the apartment and headed east for Yosemite.

A few hours later we stopped for lunch at Oakdale Cafe before we reached our accommodation for the next two nights, Evergreen Lodge, just outside Yosemite National Park.

Ange and Monks signed up with a sunset viewing tour with the lodge so we decided to drive to Glacier Point for our sunset views, stopping at various vantage points (of which there are many) as well.

Watching the sun set over the valley was a trully amazing experience, as the colour of the sky and the strange landscape seemed to change with every passing moment.

We didn’t get to make it back to the lodge for our dinner appointment with Ange and Monks because the roadworkers decided to start doing roadworks at a crucial intersection when we were trying to head back … We didn’t arrive home til pretty late and the lodge restaurant had closed by then. So we had to crack open the chip packets …

I slept poorly later that night, having bad dreams about bears …
