Pani’s Cafe is tucked away in an alleyway — and we were lucky to have stumbled upon it. It’s a casual, bustling restaurant, serving both locals and tourists alike.

Muffin discovered a new brand of beer that he likes — Peroni Gran Reserva (Doppio Malto).

Unfortunately, my food camera / smartphone battery had died after a day of heavy GPS usage, so I’ve only managed to take one decent photo of the delicious food we had:

Antipasto Sardo

For mains, I had "Tagliolini cun Butariga" — black tagliolini tossed together with whole tiger prawns, chilli, garlic and parsley topped with tuna fish-roe. Muffin had "Malloreddus con Pani’s Ragu" — typical Sardinian coloured pasta twists with Pani’s homemade game-ragu, made with lentils, borlotti beans, carrots, celery, onion, chilli, garlic and fresh herb. They were both very hearty and delicious!

Even though the servings were very generous, and we were completely stuffed to the gills, we somehow managed to order tiramisu — and it was good!
