Back in the 'burbs

The little dude is now a seasoned flyer, and gets straight into the business of going to sleep as soon as we get on the flight. Thank goodness the novelty of unlimited screen-time has worn off, and he’d rather go to sleep :) Also flying at night it much better for him - makes mental notes -.

Getting through Sydney airport was the fastest / smoothest experience we’d ever experienced in Sydney’s airport. The claimed to have lots of snacks on us but they just waved us on. Now that we have two sets of passports to choose from (AU/UK) the queues were so much shorter too! So we were out pretty quickly.

Got picked up and driven to the rural/suburban suburb of Dural, which will be our home for the next month or so.

First order of business is to hit the local shops, get some coffee in us, and stock up on supplies!

Our local shops being Castle Towers, and we had ok coffee (but pretty bad fish and chips, the little dude spewed it all out later). We didn’t find the good coffee place until our last week in Sydney! NB Qube Kaffiene & Kitchen was expensive and not that good :( The good coffee was at Flower Child Cafe.

Strangely extra fishy fish and chips, to be upchucked later Strangely extra fishy fish and chips, to be upchucked later

At the supermarket, everything seems really expensive, and there seems to be a shortage / supply issues with tissue paper …

Only 2 boxes per customer :( Only 2 boxes per customer :(

Remember for next time: this is where the good coffee is in Castle Towers:
