Colchester

Lovely day ...

We went to the Europcar in Euston to pick up our car, supposedly a 1.5L Toyota Prius, but the dude said they didn't have any ... so gave us a Mercedes instead ...

We had an easy drive to Colchester -- it was a bit slow getting out of London but we got there with time to spare.

Colchester was a pretty town, with a nice castle and gardens, but with the same high street stores in town.

After a bit of a walk, we decided to head back to the church for the ceremony ...

St. John the Wonderworker Russian Orthodox Church

Cute little (French) flower girls

It was an interesting church -- no pews, so everyone just stood anywhere they liked ...

The best men had to hold up the crowns for a long time ...

Ceremonial grog

After the ceremony we drove on to the Essex Golf and Country Club for the reception ...

Our Merc, coz they ran out of Toyota Prius

The food was buffet style ...

check out the 3 types of caviar on the bread :D

Wedding cake in little boxes

There was a bridal dance, and then the guests danced to Boney M's Rasputin!

My fave meal of the day -- DESSERT!
