Penzance, Minack Theatre, Lands End
Our sleeper train (except we didn't get any sleep) pulled into Penzance very early in the morning.
We were fantasizing about a big English Breakfast on the train ... except nothing was open in Penzance that morning ... so we ate a tub of olives and had some coffee to kill time while we waited for the car hire office to open.

Once we picked up the car we drove towards Minack Theatre, via Mousehole.

These little guys were everywhere near Minack Theatre
After taking some happy snaps on the cliffs near the theatre, we smelled pastie and so had to eat some -- Muffin and I shared a Steak pastie and a Vegetarian pastie between us (bland!) while Marina and Rosy had chicken pasties. After that we took some happy snaps of the theatre.
Views outside Minack Theatre
We drove on to Lands End ... where there was a Doctor Who exhibition, some souvenir shops, and a farm of some sort.

It was time for lunch so we drove on to St Ives and found lots of fish and chip shops ... but we ate in a restaurant (fish and chips of course!).
After lunch the girls went shopping (I tagged along) while Muffin found more interesting things to do ...
Muffin wishes these were his
We left St Ives when it was time to move the car ... and headed to Falmouth where our B&B was ( The Observatory Guest House ). We checked in and had a powernap ...
Later that night we went into town (Falmouth) for dinner ... and it looks quite similar to the other towns we'd been to earlier ... Had dinner in Clark's Restaurant -- I had duck, Muffin had some sorta seafood soup, and a risotto for starters.
Later that night we watched Bedazzled on TV ...
Tintagel Castle, Padstow, Newquay
After everyone had their greasy English breakfast (fried bread, anyone??) ... while I had plain toast with jam and butter ... we set off to Tintagel Castle where the legend of King Arthur was born.
I wish we had turned left!
Views at Tintagel Castle
We didn't get to see all of Tintagel Castle or Merlin's Cave ... and we headed off to have cream tea and scones instead.
After that we drove to Padstow for fish and chips, specifically, Stein's Fish & Chips. The queues were long -- I had enough of battered fish so I had a grilled salmon. The fish and chips weren't as good as the one we had in St. Ives tho ...
We went into the Lobster Hatchery
We checked out the rest of the town, which looked very similar to the other seaside towns in Cornwall ...
A funny name for a street
If you don't pay ...
Long queues at Stein's Fish and Chips
Later that day we headed to Newquay which was again very similar to the other towns ... except ... for less classier people. :P We found dodgy poker / gaming parlours everywhere ... like a poor man's Vegas. And we found a large puddle of vomit which put us off our impending dinner (which was a bowl of molten cheese in beans which caused much gassage later that night). There was absolutely no movie worth watching on TV that night ...
Lizard, Marazion, St Michael's Mount
Muffin had his last greasy breakfast (I had oats this time) and we set off home. We set off to Lizard, where we took a few happy snaps, and I bought a hedgehog from the Lizard Lighthouse. After that we drove to Marazion where we had more pasties and cream teas before catching the ferry across to St Michael's Mount. Alas the tide was too high to walk across ...

We slowly made our way back to Penzance, killed some time in a bookshop before boarding the train back to London.
