Elliot's Oyster House , 1201 Alaskan Way, Pier 56, Seattle, Wa 98101

We couldn't resist walking past the windows of this fine restaurant ... and they sat us down by the window, with great views of the ferries bustling up and down the Puget Sound. The friendly and professional waitress handed us the menus and our dilemma of choosing our order began ...

They thought we were too young for alcohol, and since we didn't bring our passports with us we had to settle for soft drinks ...

For appetisers, we shared a refreshing octopus carpaccio, and a dozen oysters. The oysters were tiny, and very easy to eat (I normally have to force them down if they're too huge and slimy) because they tasted clear and fresh. As we were starving we we considering an additional dozen ... but luckily we didn't ...

... because our mains were LARGE. Muffin had a whole delicious crab to himself ... while Bung gobbled down an entire bowl of seafood (containing salmon, crab, clams and mussels). I had some crab cakes (too lazy to crack open shells). My main was a little too rich and buttery, but tasty nonetheless.

Somehow we dared consider ordering desserts ... a platter containing 3 types of desserts! The creme brulee tasted too strongly of lighter fluid, but the tarts were very scrumptious.

We would definitely come back here if we do return to Seattle again.
