Just when you thought that you'd be far from any sort of food court whilst in London, let alone an ASIAN food court, you're wrong!

If you've never been to an Asian food court (and these are different from the Westfield food courts back in Australia -- as in they don't have the stock standard KFCs, Pizza Huts, Maccas, etc) then you've never had to endure the dilemma of DECIDING what to eat, the frantic scramble for an available table, and then the stress of being nominated to fend off other people while your eating pals are off collecting their food ...

I'd circled the food stalls twice before deciding on my Nasi Lemak, drooling at the numbered photographs of food, drinks and desserts, and made a mental note of how much room I had in my tummy ...

Meanwhile, Muffin, who was planning on laksa but couldn't find a store that was doing seafood laksa, ended up choosing a strange curry soup with pork from a Vietnamese store ... (eh??)

 

I usually use nasi lemaks as a benchmark of authenticity ... and the rendang that came with the nasi lemak didn't taste very authentic at all ... (it was too sweet, and tasted a little Thai). But Muffin enjoyed the fried ikan billis ...

 

We washed down our meals with some hot home-made soy-bean drink.
