We went to the Tea Room at QVB for a wedding reception ...

Entree ...

Spiced lamb fillet, tomato, eggplant, fennel

Grilled quail, spiced cous cous, mint yoghurt

 

I didn't see any eggplants in the lamb ... and I think they might've substituted beef for lamb?? (shrug) But the lamb/beef was really tender ... and the herb / salad went well with it. Delish! The quail was also very tasty ...

Parmesan & sage crusted chicken breast, japanese pumpkin, celery & currants.

Mains ...

Beef sirloin, caramelised pearl onion, mushrooms, tarragon, turnip

 

I ate most of the chicken ... which was tasty, but a tad too salty and a tad too sweet for me ... Muffin ate the sirloin, which was a little too rare for my tastes but perfect for muffin ...

Desserts! Finally, the course I've been waiting for all along ... :)

Warm chocolate fondant, tea and raspberry sorbet

Caramelised passionfruit tart, clotted cream

 

Alas, I'd overdone myself on chocolate today -- I was only at the Lindt Concept Store a few hours before ... Nevertheless, the chocolate fondant was very good and muffin liked the passionfruit tart ...
