Oat Waffles with Maple Syrup
Waffles made with oats instead of flour. Adapted from Mornflake’s recipe to make exactly 4 waffles in the Sage BBQ Press & Grill with Waffle plates.
Ingredients
| 125 g | jumbo oats, blitzed in a blender |
| 1 tsp | baking powder |
| 250 ml | plant milk |
| 20 g | Coconut oil (or any other oil) |
| 55 g | maple syrup |
| 1 tsp | vanilla essence |
Instructions
- Blitz the oats and baking powder into flour.
- Combine all the wet ingredients in a large mixing bowl (milk, oil, maple syrup, vanilla essence)
- Slowly add in the flour and combine. Leave for at least 30 minutes to thicken (longer = better).
- Turn on waffle maker: 210°C for upper plate, 180°C for lower plate.
- Grease waffle maker and cook the waffle batter for about 10 minutes.
