Marble Cake
This recipe is from Taste Asian Food and has been adapted to fit my loaf pan.
Ingredients
The Cake
220g | butter cut into cubes |
125g | granulated sugar |
4 medium | eggs |
60ml | milk |
200g | self-raising flour (sieved) |
50g | Dark chocolate (melted) |
Instructions
- Make sure everything is at room temperature! (Otherwise the batter will curdle when you add eggs to the butter and sugar)
- Preheat oven to 160°C. Grease the cake tin and line with baking parchment.
- Mix butter and sugar until smooth
- Add in eggs a bit at a time and continue to mix
- Mix in milk
- Sift in flour in small batches and mix until smooth (do not overmix)
- Combine melted chocolate to 1/3rd of the batter
- Grease and line tin
- Pour in plain and chocolate batter and make a pattern
- Bake for 35 mins
