Ministry @ The Forum
Ahh ... so glad we live in Kentish Town. The Forum was only a 5 min (or so) walk from
home! The venue was NICE ... as you can see I could actually SEE. Alas, this band wasn't the
type to sit down and tap your feet to kinda band. I've seen a few pathetic attempts at
windmills while sitting down ... My ears were numb and ringing even with earplugs on! Dunno
whether those cages were for the band's protection or the audiences ... and no, that's not
Ozzie.
Gotcha! (again)

I thought I saw something moving about in the dark while Muffin and I were watching a
movie in the living room ... and I was right (again!).
Muffin the Disbeliever (and probably the one dropping crumbs all over the place) and I are
now pros at this -- mice #2, caught by trapping at the corner of our living room, then prodded
with a wooden spoon until it runs into an upturned baking tray that Muffin is holding ...
Can I keep him??
We set him/her free outside near the housing estate (hehe) so hopefully it'll find a
better home ... just not ours!
Ladytron @ Astoria (round 1)

The ladies of Ladytron
We arrived at Astoria early enough to bag my favorite spot behind the cage, safe from the
sweaty throng near the stage, but good enough for an unobstructed view (through a cage, tho).
Alas, Ladytron was moody ... and wasn't moving or smiling much -- about halfway through we
found out why -- apparently the soundboard at Astoria had crapped out to a point of no return
... and so the rest of the concert was postponed ...

Delerium
'Twas a pretty good concert -- (except the support acts were pretty forgettable) pity the
venue sucks -- with bars at both sides of the stage, and nowhere for me to stand for a good
view!
We haven't had dinner, but were lucky to find a curry joint that was still open for dinner
in Angel at 11pm! The food was pretty good and I didn't get sick from it -- bonus! So next
time if anyone's hungry late at night in the vicinity of Angel, the
Angel Curry Center is a good
bet.
Meat for Meatatarians!
Tuesday, 6 May 2008
Muffin and I cycled to Wholefoods in Kensington High Street for a bit of indulgent food
shopping. We were feeling a little homesick for an Aussie barbie so we bought ... a nice piece
of aged ribeye, 2 bottles of Coopers Pale Ale (all the way from South Australia, mate!), and
our monthly supply of coffee beans.
We were starvin' when we got home so we started chugging on our beers while we meat and
chips were cooking ...
Aged rib-eye steaks (before cooking. We forgot to take the "after"
shot)
Unfortunately the steak was waaaay too delicious and we forgot to take a photo of the
cooked version. We're completely pleased that we've found a piece of beef decent enough for
our Australian palates.
