Nightwish at Astoria
Thursday, 27 March 2008
We lost track of time and got to Astoria JUST ON TIME. Which means I had a bad spot >:( I
couldn't see jack this time around, so didn't bother taking photos of the gig. Otherwise, it
was a pretty good gig.
The Cure @ Wembley Arena (Old farts unite!)
Thursday, 20 March 2008
Getting to Wembley Arena was a PAIN. First of all, we had to get out of Zone 2 (!!), and
then we had to change lines! The venue itself was huuuuge. Defo bigger than the Entertainment
centre in Sydney. Which means we saw some specks moving about amongst the light show (even tho
Robert Smith was pretty huge himself) :B
Entertainment wise, it was ... entertaining. Mr Smith gave us lotsa old fav hits (I was
hoping for Lovecats, which appeared during one of the encores), and lotsa old farts were
boogeying ... :B
Didn't bother taking photos -- was too far away, and stage lights don't make very
interesting photos ...
Getting home was ALSO a pain as we were slowly herded towards the station ... and oh --
Muffin managed to get rid of Fooboy's ticket via ebay (phew).
Rock on!!

Went to our first metal (well, melodic death metal) concert -- Children of Bodom was
playing -- and it was FUN. The audience were the most appreciative I've ever seen.
The support band Moonsorrow was pretty good as well, and did lots of windmills.
Quite a few people in the audience were crowdsurfing, which made me glad I was safe far
out the back ... also the lead singer spat a lot ...
