Wicked!

Went to watch Wicked: The Musical today, with Yen and Ken (it was their combined birthday get-together thingy).

I didn't get to finish reading the book Wicked by Gregory Maguire ... the beginning of the book was funny, and interesting -- however it lost it's pace and I kept losing my page ... Fortunately, the play was far more entertaining, especially for folks with short attention span like myself.

The story in the play differed quite significantly from the book, which was good, in a way ... My favorite character in the play was Glinda, played by Helen Dallimore ... who's an Aussie trained at NIDA (go Aussies!).

This was our first theatre in London -- it was quite enjoyable, and not too expensive either at £30 ... so this would definitely not be our last!

I made a roast duck (thigh/leg) for dinner today ... on a bed of parsley salad, with a vegetable tomato stew.
