Home sweet home ...

We've just got home from our trip to
Paris
with a bag full of cheese, baguette and croissants! (I had also
bought half a dozen chouquettes but I'd devoured them all whilst
waiting for our train at Gare du Nord)
We had cheese (and lots of it!) for dinner that night.
Then we started playing World of Warcraft for the first time since
July last year ...
** Snow! **
Thursday, 8 February 2007
We opened the bedroom blinds this morning and this was the view
outside ...
Outside our bedroom ...
Outside our home ...
BRR!
As it was snowing heavily outside, we decided to stay in our warm
beds a little longer ... and only dared venture outside when it
wasn't snowing so much. I wonder where all the squirrels went ...
Some kids were trying to hit me with snowballs. WHY!!
My shoes weren't exactly cut out for walking on slush -- I had to
sit in cold soggy socks for the rest of the day :(
Down the street ...
Pigging out at Borough Markets (yet again) ...
Saturday, 3 February 2007
We're defo getting fat at this rate ... weekly visits to the
Borough Markets has started to become our weekly routine ...
And my blog will soon become a weekly report of Borough Markets!
:B
Ok, chorizo report for this week -- the queue was the longest we'd
ever seen. We decided to get our coffees first, and when we
finished, we discovered that the queue had grown even longer!!
D'oh!
So we decided to look around, see if we could substitute the
chorizo sandwich with something else ...
And found the smelliest combination of food ever existing on
earth. Imagine this: cheese (of the stinky, sort!) + curry + fish
mongers + melted cheese + cooking sausages + curry + olives ...
Did I say, + curry??
At first I thought that there was a smelly homeless guy that pee'd
in his pants near us ...
Anyway ... back to chorizo sandwich substitution ... we found a
couple of other sausage sandwich shops, but after taking a look at
the sausages (all really big and extremely heart-harming-looking)
and other alternatives (venison burger, fish and chips, etc) we
decided to head back for the chorizo queue ... which was even
longer ... but sooo worth it!
