May Days
This was the most jam-packed month we’ve ever experienced.
ZSL’s Big Birthday Bash
Earlier in the month, we went to the London Zoo for it’s 200th Birthday Bash. There were games to play, animals to see, candy floss to consume …
3 days of “date nights”
While the little dude was away on a two night residential, we managed to have our longest date nights / days we’ve ever had. We:
- had a slow pub lunch in Crouch End (The Good Reader)
- watched a horror movie (Hokum) in the Screen on the Green
- attended the Shotengai market just for a tofu popup
- and had a fancy seafood dinner at Toff’s.
Our Baby’s back
Decided to treat our little guy to his current favourite meal at Ippudo (and skip swimming lessons that week) …
Another Big Birthday Bash
Since the little guy is now in the double digit, we threw a massive birthday outing for him and seven of his friends. We started off with a two hour pottery session (making clay figures and wheel throwing). Then the kids shared some Minecraft cupcakes and pandan chiffon cake. After that we walked the remaining kids to Regent’s Park for a picnic, then to Udderlicious for some ice cream, then to Nando’s for a very late dinner. It was after 10pm when we got back!
Half Term Activities
We took some time to decompress after the mega playdate / birthday session. After that we:
- had a family haircut with Yoshie, Sho and Yooha, followed by some souffle from Plateapus, and some bao and noodles from So Noodle
- had a full meal (appetisers, mains, dessert) at Lina Stores after the little dude’s swimming lesson
- had fun at Maths World followed by early dinner at Fish! in Borough Market
- went to an Aldous Harding gig at the Barbican
- shopped for some smarter clothes in preparation for the big dude’s upcoming work trip.
